JAFFA, Israel, March 9, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) successfully completed a demanding long-range Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mission, flying its B-Li UAV from Israel to Germany, marking a significant milestone in the development of the B-Li program.
The B-Li UAV took off from Israel and flew over 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles) to Germany, successfully navigating various challenging airspace conditions and demonstrating its endurance and reliability. The UAV operated at high altitudes, providing real-time intelligence and surveillance capabilities throughout the mission.
IAI’s B-Li UAV is a medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) platform designed for Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions. It combines advanced aerodynamic design with state-of-the-art sensors and systems, providing extended flight endurance and a wide range of mission capabilities.
The B-Li UAV features a unique modular design, enabling it to be easily adapted to different mission requirements. It can be equipped with various payloads, including electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and electronic intelligence (ELINT) systems, providing comprehensive intelligence gathering capabilities.
