**Leading the Healthcare Response**

In countries like Afghanistan, where the healthcare system has been ravaged by decades of war, women have taken the lead in providing essential healthcare services. Dr. Shakila Mohammadi is a midwife who has been working in a hospital in Kabul for over 20 years. Despite the dangers and the lack of resources, she has continued to provide care for women and children throughout the pandemic.
